Q. How big can you make a dome?
A. As large as you like as soon as you get larger than an 8M dome. You use steel instead of wood struts. Feasibly you can go as large as you like. The largest dome in the world is 760 feet in diameter. we would love to be commissioned to build the largest dome in the world and we could deliver a structure cheaper and quicker than any traditional building method.
Q. How much is it?
A. $6595 ex GST for the 5.6 M diameter dome. the 8M dome is $11695 larger domes are POA Build a dome house for considerably less than a standard house
Q. What size family does the minimum dome feed?
A. The 5.6 m diameter dome will easily feed a 6 person family pending how much you plant, you will get maximum yields. G.Jackson Masterton
Q. Can I really grow cucumbers and tomatoes in the winter months once the dome is prepared for winter with the heat banks etc.
A. Yes you can grow all year round positioning the plants like tomatoes to get maximum sun so that they ripen. The only problem faced is the ripening of some varieties. We pick them and leave them in the sun to ripen.
Q. Do you do site consultations? As I am not sure where the best place to site it would be on my lifestyle block.

Q. Can it be used in the winter without the heat banks? I live rural and not on town water.
A. Yes. But it will be nowhere near as effective. We recommend heat banks. H.Boyd RD11
You only need to fill the heatbanks once.
Q. Do any schools already have a domegrown geodesic dome?
A. Yes Tuturumuri school in the wairarapa has a domegrown geodesic dome operating now. They are very happy with there dome and been making money from selling produce from it, not to mention the huge benefits the children parents and teachers have gained from having sustainable technology at there fingertips
Q. Can I build one myself?
A. Yes the domegrown comes as a kitset pack with plans to build and tips and suggestions. we can keep in contact to guide you if any problems arise. The key to it's simplicity is the hub where the struts slot into easily. we have everything clearly numbered and the construction is completely logical.
Q. Can the actual structure be used for any other purposes seeing that it claims to be sturdy?
A. Yes for sure, they can be used for outdoor educational classrooms, stock shelters, spa pool covers and many other uses, but primarily we market it as an all year round sustainable eco friendly geodesic greenhouse. D Barnett Levin.

When building a living structure the technique is to use steel for the connecting struts cover the structure with chicken wire and spray with concrete. Windows can be left by simply leaving triangular segments bare The ease of construction is amazing. The US government and army has used geodesic domes as super quick light and strong construction for sometime.
